Questions from the wall
How many turns does the sleeve take?
Around three and a half turns from fully open to fully locked. Screw it down until it seats, then back it off a hair so it will not bind under load.
Screwgate or auto-lock, which one should I buy?
Screwgates are simpler and never unlock by rubbing against rock; auto-locks save a step and relock on their own. Many climbers carry both: screwgate at the anchor, auto-lock on the belay loop.
Are these rated for climbing?
Yes. They are UIAA certified at 25kN major axis and 7kN minor axis.
