About this hook

These are the clips we hang at the top of the wall. Every one here is UIAA certified, rated 25kN along the spine and 7kN across it, forged from 7075 aluminium and finished so the nose does not snag on a sling.

The sleeve on the current generation reaches 0.3 inches further over the nose than the old one, and the spring sits hidden inside the barrel, so grit from the crag has a harder time getting in. Pick the colour that tells your belay clip from your anchor clip at a glance.

Questions from the wall

Is an auto-lock carabiner safe for belaying?

Our 25kN auto-lock D carabiners are UIAA certified and rated for climbing, rappelling and rescue. Pair them with a belay device designed for a D shape, load them along the spine and check the gate is closed and locked before every lower.

How do I open a twist-lock one handed?

Rotate the barrel a quarter turn with your thumb and push the gate in with the same hand. When you let go, the spring turns the sleeve back and locks it without a second thought from you.

What is the difference between 2 pack, 3 pack and 4 pack?

Only the quantity. Every carabiner in the pack is the same forged 25kN clip; bigger packs simply cover a whole anchor or a family of harnesses.
