Use these outside to give the dog a runner. They attach the runner to the anchor as well as the dogs collar. They have stood up well to the NC heat as well as rain. Very happy with.
New FresKaro Auto Lock Carabiner Must Have
The auto-locking feature is an excellent improvement. I no longer have to worry about losing my keys because I forgot to manually wind it to lock it. I’m now going to replace all of my older FresKaro carabiners with the new and improved auto locking system.
Solid, reliable
Very solid. Excellent quality. These are medium size (smaller than you think) at 2.25” tall. This is what I wanted to clip things to my pack. The spring clip is easy to use, and looks very robust. Perfect for my use. You may laugh, but I really like the metallic blue. These are rated for 8 kN which is an unbelievable 17,637 lbs. I don’t care if that is really true, as I’m not climbing a mountain. They will work for anything I want to use them for. They just work. Perfectly.
Great Way to Hang Bird Feeders
I love these. I used them to hang my bird feeders. I attached the top clip to the arbor and the feeder to the bottom clip. It is now so much easier to unclip the feeders and refill them. I picked this style because the clip is large, strong, and because it rotates making it more wind resistant. Before I worried about the feeders blowing off a hook. Love the green color for the garden. Hope to see this item in purple.
Secure Water Bottle
I needed something simple to secure my water bottle to my backpack when traveling through airports and on flights (I've chased more than one runaway water bottle under airline seats). This works great...I have confidence my bottle is secure right where I want it!

How to pick a FresKaro carabiner in three questions
Shopping for carabiner clips gets simple once you stop looking at colours and start asking what the clip has to do. We sort our whole wall that way, and so can you.

Will it ever hold a person?
If the answer is yes, only a UIAA certified climbing carabiner will do. Ours are forged 7075 aluminium D carabiners rated 25kN on the major axis and 7kN on the minor axis, with either a twist auto-lock sleeve or a screwgate.
Belaying, rappelling, anchor building, tree work and rescue kits all belong here. A locking climbing carabiner that closes and locks itself is fast on the belay loop; a screw lock carabiner is the calm choice at a fixed anchor.

Does the gate need to lock?
For hammocks, porch swings, punching bags, yoga swings and dog leashes, a locking carabiner clip is worth the extra second. Our 3 inch 12kN D clips come as auto-lock or screw-lock, weigh about an ounce, and hold far more than any of those loads.
These heavy duty carabiners are everyday gear, not climbing gear, and we label them that way on every page.

How often will you clip it?
Things that go on and off all day want a wiregate carabiner: a push opens it, letting go closes it. Pick the 8kN nano as a keychain carabiner, the 12kN black D four pack for backpacking, or the 15kN wiregate for bags, bottles and gym kit.
